Under Section 6 of the Right to Information Act, 2005, I request the following information about my scholarship:

1. The current status of my scholarship application, registration / reference no. ________, for the year ________.
2. Whether the scholarship amount has been sanctioned and released; if so, the date and amount.
3. If not released, the stage at which it is pending and the reasons for the delay.
4. The bank account (last four digits) to which the amount was credited, if released.
5. The name and designation of the dealing official.
I am a citizen of India. I am enclosing the application fee of Rs. 10 by Indian Postal Order (or as per the prescribed mode of the office). [If you hold a BPL card: I am below the poverty line and attach a copy of my BPL card; no fee is payable.] Kindly provide the above information within 30 days as required under the RTI Act, 2005.

How to use it

  • Quote your scholarship registration/reference number and the academic year.
  • Asking which account it was credited to exposes wrong-account / non-release cases.
  • Address it to the welfare directorate that runs the scheme.
