Frequently Asked Questions
What if I address the wrong PIO?
Under Section 6(3), a PIO who gets a misdirected RTI must transfer it to the correct authority within 5 days — so a genuine mistake isn't fatal, but the right PIO is faster.
Where do I file a Second Appeal?
To your State Information Commission for state matters, or the Central Information Commission (CIC) for central public authorities and UTs without their own commission.
