EPFiGMS grievance filed, PF still stuck? Do this next
You raised a grievance on EPFiGMS with your UAN or PPO, you have a registration number, and the money still has not moved - or the grievance was closed without the claim being settled. Walk the official route below first, then use RTI to put the claim file on record.
First, make sure the official route is exhausted
Still stuck? Put it on record with an RTI
If EPFiGMS closes your grievance without the money moving, an RTI to the CPIO of the concerned PF office linked to your UAN/PPO can request the claim file status, the officer it is pending with, and the recorded reason.
- The present status of the claim connected to grievance registration number [YOUR NUMBER] and UAN [YOUR UAN], and the officer or section it is currently pending with.
- If the claim was rejected or returned, a copy of the rejection/return noting with the reasons recorded.
- The dates on which the claim moved between sections, with copies of the file movement record.
- A copy of the action-taken/closure report recorded against the grievance registration number.
Under Section 7(1) of the RTI Act, the PIO is ordinarily required to respond within 30 days.
If the RTI reply does not arrive or is unsatisfactory, a First Appeal lies with the First Appellate Authority of the same public authority within 30 days.
We identify the likely record-holding public authority and frame the record-trail questions around your registration number.
