π Check Your Complaint Status via RTI – Format & Timeline (2025)
Have you submitted a complaint to a government department — but received no reply? Whether it's a civic grievance, service delay, or regulatory issue, you have the right to seek transparency through RTI.
The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 empowers you to:
β What You Can Ask Under RTI:
-
Ask for status of your complaint or grievance
-
Request the action taken report (ATR)
-
Know which officer/department handled your case
-
Demand the file movement timeline and remarks

π― When to File RTI for Complaint Status
Use RTI if:
-
Your complaint has been pending for more than 15–30 days
-
You received a generic acknowledgment but no further update
-
The grievance portal (like CPGRAMS, Praja Vaani, etc.) is not updating
-
You want accountability from the officer or department
