In Andhra Pradesh, citizens use RTI to seek updates on land records, MeeSeva certificates, pending service requests, and government scheme delays.

Whether it’s about a stuck mutation or a scholarship delay, the RTI Act (2005) gives you the right to ask: "What is the status of my application, and which officer is handling it?"

This blog explains how to file an RTI in Andhra Pradesh — both online and offline — and get official updates within 30 days.

When Can You Use RTI in Andhra Pradesh?

You can file RTI in Andhra Pradesh to get information such as:

  • Status of land records (1-B, Adangal) or mutations on MeeBhoomi portal

  • Application status from MeeSeva centers (birth/death certificates, income/caste/nativity, etc.)

  • Delay in issuing ration cards, pensions, or housing scheme benefits

  • Internal file movement on a pending request

  • Copies of GOs, decisions, or officer remarks
